Kelly Keeling

Manager of Creative kidz.

I have worked in childcare since leaving college in 1991. Initially i became a children's nanny after being asked to stay on at a work placement.

After becoming a Mum myself i decided childminding was a good option but found that i was overwhelmed with work.

I researched the need for Out of School Childcare and completed an NVQ level 3 qualification in Playwork. I went on to open the first setting in 2004 after agreeing a surestart grant from Hampshire County Council, We ran from a local church hall in Hamble.

We soon became too big for the venue and expanded to the local Primary School.

Our second setting came about following a request by the headteacher and opened in Jan 2009.

From then on we have been approached by 4 further schools to provide out of school childcare. We now run 6 settings in total in and around the Southampton area.

Amongst other qualifications I currently hold certificates in Paediatric first aid, Safeguarding children, Health and safety and manual handling, ILM level 3 certificate in management.

I am also Mum to 3 boys aged, 14, 12 and 5.

Bri

Brian Keeling

Manager of Creative kidz

Brian is Kelly's husband and is also now business partner.

The business has expanded vastly over the past couple of years, which meant that Brian had to give up his day job to come on-board.

He is also a retained fire-fighter at Hamble Fire Station.

Brian is currently studying for a Level 3 diploma in playwork, he already holds both First aid and Child protection certificates, and recently completed a level 3 award in first line management.

Dawn

Dawn supervises our Hamble setting, she is outgoing and fun and loves to get stuck in at grass roots level.

Dawn has qualified in Playwork to Level 3 standard, she has also gained Certificates in First Aid, Advanced Child protection, Health and Safety amongst others. 

She likes nothing better than to participate and initiate group activities, and can often be found racing around the playground on rollerboots!

Tiff

Tiffany is our Supervisor at the Bishops Waltham setting, she has been working in childcare since leaving college and has qualifcations in both Childcare and Education as well as Playwork.

Although Tiff is one of the youngest members of the team, and therefore children find it easy to relate to her fun loving nature, she always maintains a proffesional outlook.

Tiff has completed a Level 3 NVQ in Playwork, plus certificates in Paediatric first aid certificate, Safeguarding and Health and Safety ,

Lauren

Lauren is in charge of our St Johns setting, and brings a lot of playwork experience to our setting.

Lauren is more energetic than most of the children attending!

She likes nothing better than getting stuck in with group games and activities.

She is a qualified sports instructor and has been a welcome addition to our team!

Lauren holds a Level 2 NVQ in Playwork, plus certificates in Paediatric first aid certificate, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Laura

Laura is in charge of our Netley Abbey setting.

She has taken it from strength to strength, and over the past  couple of years this setting has become a fantastic play setting.

Although Laura is relatively new to Playwork, she has grown in confidence and knowledge and provides wonderful play opportunities for the children. She is an asset to the company.

Laura holds a Level 3 NVQ in Playwork, plus certificates in Paediatric first aid certificate, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
